a large family group

I was part of a large family group that stayed at Minmore Mews during midterm break. We are from Galway and have holidayed together many times along West coast – we decided due to a recommendation for Minmore Mews to head to the Sunny South East – and Indeed it was – weather wise (bar one rainy day in the week) but more so due to the welcome and hospitality shown by Donal and John who were both perfect gentlemen and hosts. We loved the country setting – the views – the local walks and probably the highlight when 19 of us climbed Glendalough. We had 7 teenagers in the group – hard to entertain but all loved Minmore and the day trips we did as well as the space outside to kick football and there was good WiFi – a big essential for teenagers. Donals pricing is very reasonable – he has not increased prices since Covid and he deserves our support – cannot recommend enough this lovely home away from Home if you want to unwind – relax – enjoy the scenery and the Sunny South East from Minmore Mews.

Family Group May Bank Holiday

7 months ago we visited Minmore Mews for the May bank holiday weekend. We have a large family that travelled to Ireland and we all wanted to stay together, yet have individual space for each of our families. With 7 children across the group, we also wanted to cater for them and need to know that even the youngest toddlers had somewhere safe to play. This spot ticked all the boxes for us and didn’t disappoint! Even before we arrived, our wonderful host, Donal, matched each family to one of the six self contained cottages. He ensured that small children were catered for in the cottages with cots and stair gates where necessary. The cottages were easy to find and easily accessible to the surrounding towns/amenities and once we arrived we really felt at home! The breathtaking scenery and gorgeous grounds had us admiring the surroundings and enjoying the outdoors even when the weather wasn’t the best! The outdoor barbecue area was a great gathering spot for all of us to eat together and we even moved around to some of the different cottages to enjoy meals together. There was even a games room that kept the teenagers amused! On top of all this, the cottages were clean, well maintained and comfortably kitted out so we could enjoy each space. We literally can’t wait to go back, and we were just so happy with the experience, I’d highly recommend this little gem.

—————————————————————- Fantastic accommodation. Located an hour and a half from Dublin, but very close to incredible places to discover. A quiet area that shows the Irish nature, the postcard landscapes that we so long to know. The house is very comfortable, with everything you need to have a perfect stay. Although the weather was cold and rainy, inside the house it was very comfortable. Donal and his uncle John were very kind and helpful. We have nothing negative to say, quite the opposite, a 10 for everything.

Song Writer Group

When I began searching for the right venue for a 5-day songwriting retreat, it was almost impossible to find somewhere that ticked every box – until I found Minmore Mews. This is a stunning location, surrounded by some of the most beautiful views in Ireland. Each of the houses are beautiful inside, furnished with all that you could need. Because of the remote location, this really felt like we were away from everyone and everything, which was the most wonderful feeling of escape. To find somewhere that could accommodate in excess of 15 people was really hard, but this venue had plenty of space for all of us. Throughout our stay, many of the participants commented on Minmore Mews as being one of the most special places they have ever stayed. The hosts, Donal and John, were so accommodating with all of my requests and were happy to either step in or step back as necessary. We greatly appreciate all of their help with the running of the week, and would love to return again in the future.

Golf trip

“Eight of us, a mix of Canadian and Irish, stayed in Minmore in June 2022.  We were in Wicklow for a golf trip, playing the beautiful courses that are an easy drive from Minmore (Collattin, Woodenbridge, Arklow, Macreddin and Bunclody).  We needed accommodation that could provide eight individual beds and so we booked three cottages, which turned out to be perfect for our needs. Donal and John greeted us warmly and Donal made sure we had everything we needed.  The cottages were neat and tidy and we settled in very quickly.  We loved the setting with the spectacular views across the valley and the Irish weather provided an ever-changing backdrop.  There was plenty for us to do after the golf – check out the Shillelagh maker in the village and be sure to visit Egan’s pub down the road in Parkbridge. I can commend Minmore to anyone contemplating a trip to this beautiful part of Ireland.  Donal is committed to and passionate about developing Minmore’s potential in a sustainable fashion.  We certainly enjoyed the interaction with him and his hospitality ensured that we left Minmore with smiling faces and a determination to return in the future.”   Paddy Boyd
