Group Accommodation

Our entire immediate family stayed at Minmore Mews from June 29 – July 6, 2026. There were 21 of us, split into 6 family groups. Every one of us mentioned how perfect this place was at multiple different times during the week, and how fantastic a host Donal was. I am having a hard time explaining just how amazing this cottage rental is, but I’ll give it a try.. After arriving at Dublin airport, we picked up our rental car and set out on the ~1.5 hour drive to Minmore Mews using all back roads (honestly the best way to see Ireland). Upon arrival in Shillelagh, we drove up the typical Irish small back road and turned into the Minmore Mews driveway. The first view you get is a stunning overlook of the Irish farming countryside, and a quintessential Irish “Mews” style group of cottages, all stonework and iron, along with freshly cut grass. The interiors are mostly updated with modern conveniences, but just rustic enough to feel authentic. There are flat screen TVs and dishwashers installed, but the overall aesthetic is country farmhouse. For the complete Irish experience, spand some time with the owner, Donal (who lives on-site, so any requests are quickly fulfilled) and get the craic straight from a true local. A rare gem, you won’t find a more entertaining and gracious host than him. We invited him to join in our family photos and cookouts, and he was a welcome addition to our family events. I truly can’t say enough great things about this experience, if your intention is to have a relaxing stay in the Irish countryside, this is really the best and only place to do it.
